i have been trying to trace my travelling roots for over 20 years now, Apparently my ancestors originated from the shipwreak of the west of Ireland a few hundred years ago and were Romanies, my own family have difficulty tracing the where abouts of the past, books show signs of children born with no mothers name for reference too, i was born in Co Down,Newtownards, Nr Ireland in 1964, my mother a forbes and father a Mcilwrath, in 1967 we went to Australia for around 8 years, we travelled all over Australia in trailers in a close group, we never went to school and life was spent having fun around the camp site.
We are not a very close family who live in England, the Irish side are very close and keep in regular touch, I do not want to contact any of my family in the UK as there is bad blood, it would however be good to keep in contact with others like myself who need to know of there past.
