Hello from across the miles!
Looking forward to meeting you men on this page and sharing what's happeing to and with you. I pastored a small church and fellowship for 8 years before being called to working with deaf people in Mexico. When I came back to Australia I was given a ministry of reconcilliation where God taught me about relationships - both physical and spiritual. What a journey!

Today I fellowship with peolpe who have experienced hurts in many forms. We use the bible and prayer to rebuild and find out what kind of people God really wants us to be and how we are meant to be here for each other.

If you want to share anything on your mind, then post a thread here or contact me on tomslad. No burden too big that we cant lift it together.
God Bless.

Like many men I often wonder if I'm the kind of man God wants me to be. Am I like I am because I think it's how I should be - or is it because I think it's what other people expect of me? Jesus didn't just lay down moral standards for us to follow but also set an example of 'manhood'. He worked with and for his earthly Dad as well as his heavenly Dad. He loved kids. Provided for people. Cried when his friend died, Gave encouragement to people - friends AND strangers. Stood up to authority against injustice. Socialised with outcasts... what a man!

Are we Christ-like men? I dont mean 'holy' men, I mean do we identify with the things Jesus did. When people see us do they see Jesus?

I'm starting a study of Ephesians tonight. I want to find my identity in Christ. I'll let you know what I find and I'd love to hear your thoughts.

God Bless you!
